Moments for Mamas acknowledges our presence on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx / Okanagan people who have resided here since time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to create, collaborate, play, and work on these lands.
What are you envisioning for your session backdrop? Mountains, a rocky creek, open field with long grass and/or wildflowers, rolling hills, beach setting? The possibilities are endless, and I've got you covered. I've spent hours and hours location scouting. I love taking my clients to hidden gems and epic locations that not a lot of people know about. It makes my clients more comfortable so there aren't other people and photographers swarming around us, and it feels special because we're the only ones around. I also avoid locations that have man made structures (benches, cities, buildings, signs). Some are closer than others, some are more adventurous. The location creates drama and should utilize natural elements. I get inspired by wildflowers, water, sand, wispy grasslands, and anything that connects us to our Earth. Take a look at the photos of different locations below and let me know if one speaks to your heart. If you'd like to see more photos from a location, let me know and I can send you a full gallery!
